Neum is only municipality on the Adriatic costal area in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Water supplying for this city  provided from  source Gabela which is 35 km away. Distribution system comprise 6 reservoirs and 5 pumping stations, thus this very expensive system is cost effective only during summer turistic season, when in Neum arriving huge number of  turist.

Taking that into account,   water loss appearance on distribution network is very disturbing for Water Utility and  Authorities in Neum, and that is reason that Neum nominated this issue in the frame of IDRINKADRIA - IPA Adriatic Cross-border Cooperation Programme.

During water loss detection campaign, will be measured amount of Real loss in the mains from Gabela to Neum and tested all lengths on the mains where will be detected unacceptable amount of leaks.
