Initial Water Balance analysis (using top – down approach) will be carried out In the 14 municipalities of the Una-Sana Canton and wider region of Prijedor (Bosnia and Herzegovina). Analysis is performed within the project "Assessment of the water supply system condition in selected municipalities, which is performed as part of the program for improvement of the environmental and economic aspects of local government (MEG), LOT1

Despite the fact that this approach of Water Balance calculation is not suitable for the analysis in the water supply systems in B&H considering that obtained results may have error up to 30%, however It is   a good first step, especially if you take into account that in the further step will be selected water supply systems where will be performed detailed the water balance analysis using approach “bottom up”.
