The new and long-awaited device by  Sewerin. Aquaphon A 200 appeared on the market late last year.             The intention of the manufacturer is that the new model should be substitution for the famous previos model A100, which is the last fifteen years has been invaluable to all those who are professionally engaged in the leak detection projects.

A 200 comes in a case similar to the previous model, and that stops any similarity, considering that in A 200 are incorporated all new technologies which have emerged in the meantime, and that could be applied in a useful device.

All components are connected by wireless technology. After turning the device on the big colour display  are appeared offer for two options for use: leak detection and pipe location.

Since we selected the leak detection, below the device offers 4 different possibilities of application depending on the type of soil and method of detection that will be applied. All options could be selected directly on the screen (touch screen).

Immediately after we set  device, we experienced the first pleasant surprise. Filters sound work perfectly, and regardless that we were doing during the day, almost did not hear any background noises.

 Like the earlier models by Sewerin,  this one also takes care about protection of hearing of operators who is working with device, so that in case of sudden noises which can be danger for hearing, headphones automatically shut down or automatically turn down the sound.

Particularly useful addition device has an integrated MP3 player, which provide that user  can recorded sound of leakage and subsequently compared with each other. In this way user has opportunity to create own database of leakage's sounds that will be useful for further analysis or for training of new staff. All data on the device can be easily transferred to a computer with USB cable.

The devices offer three microphones: TM 200 - designed for prelocation, BM 200 for hard surfaces and BM 230 for soft surface. All microphones use the same handle.

Leak detection with A-200 is a real pleasure, and we detected leak very quickly.

In conclusion it can be said that the Sewerin made fantastic device. Its simplicity, compactness and clarity, will  facilitate work and provide to achieve much better results.

If you're looking for flaws, what makes the device is still one step from perfect, except of course prices (approximately 6,000 euros for a device with all three microphones), and the anatomy of the battery of only 4 hours. We hope that Sewerin engineers in upcoming period to find a way to improve the performance of this, then we could conclude that we have a perfect device of this type, at least until the appearance of some new technical solutions and technologies.
