Kick off meeting which was held in the premises of the municipality of Ulcinj at Monday, 15^th September is officially indicated the beginning of the project „Consulting Services for Institutional Support of Water Supply and Wastewater Utility Ulcinj"

This project will be implemented by the German consulting company Sachsen Wasser GmbH from Leipzig during next three years and will be financed by the German Development Bank KfW, and disbursed over Joint Service and Coordination Company for Water and Waste Water Services for the Montenegrin Coast: Vodacom – Tivat.

President of the Municipality of Ulcinj, Mr. Fatmir ?eka and chairman of the municipal council, Mr. Fuad Hadžibeti as well as representatives of consultant and Vodacom attended on the meeting.

During the meeting, the team leader of the project, Mr. Nuri Balsari and deputy team leader Mr. ?evad Koldžo as representatives of Sachsen Wasser GmbH, presented the elements and objectives of the project.

The project consists of three phases. In the inception phase, which will last for the next three months, the consultant will carry out: Reviewing technical, financial, commercial and human resources processes, Business Plan, Tariff Adjustment Plan, Presentation of the Human Resources Action Plan, Presentation of Zoning Proposal Presentation of Inception Report and Updated Implementation Plan.

Implementation phase of the project will begin immediately after the completion of the initial phase and will last for two years. During the implementation phase consultant will improve or develop: Management Information and Reporting System, Billing/Accounting System and Technical Databases, Financial Management, Commercial Policies, Operation and Maintenance, Water loss reduction as well as Public Relations & Customer Communication, Human Resources and Organisational Development, Regulatory Management.

In the final, Monitoring phase and finalization will be conducted permanent monitoring of the operations of VIK-and Ulcinj, and the review of certain activities.

Since this is a very important project for the municipality of Ulcinj, project presentation was held again at 17th September in the premises of the water utility in Ulcinj, Entire management of water supply companies attended on this presentation in order to better acquaint with the planned activities.

The value of the project is 971,000 euros, while for all water supply system improving activities in Ulcinj, KfW bank provided amount of 24 million euros.
